IKEA India is widening its footprint in the Delhi-NCR market with the launch of its second city-format store in the region. The new outlet is scheduled to open on July 30 at DLF Avenue in Saket, New Delhi, marking another step in the company’s push to deepen its reach in key urban centres.

The store will span about 30,000 square feet, or roughly 2,800 square metres. According to the company’s plan, the Saket location is expected to serve customers in South and Central Delhi, among other nearby areas, giving shoppers another accessible touchpoint within the capital region.

The expansion reflects IKEA’s focus on city stores as it builds out its India presence. Smaller urban formats can help the retailer connect more closely with consumers looking for home furnishing solutions without travelling to larger destination outlets.

With the new opening, IKEA is strengthening its position in one of India’s most important metropolitan markets. The move also signals continued momentum in its broader retail strategy as it looks to serve more households in densely populated city locations.
