Accenture has appointed Pradeep Prabhala as the head of its India Market Unit, with the change set to take effect from Sept. 1. The leadership move puts him in charge of one of the company’s key markets as it looks to strengthen its position in India.

According to the announcement, Prabhala’s role will center on driving growth led by data and artificial intelligence. That focus reflects how major technology and consulting companies are increasingly aligning their India strategies with demand for AI-enabled services and digital transformation work.

The company also said the new leadership will support the expansion of global capability centers, or GCCs, in India. The country has continued to attract investment from multinational firms building technology, operations and innovation hubs, making the GCC segment an important area for service providers.

Prabhala’s appointment signals Accenture’s intent to deepen its presence in India while linking its growth plans to AI, data capabilities and enterprise demand tied to GCC development. The transition from Sept. 1 will place him at the center of that strategy.
