Bajel Projects Ltd has signed an agreement with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company, or EETC, for transmission line work in Cairo. The deal involves two sections of a 500 kV overhead transmission line and adds a major international order to the company’s portfolio.
According to the announced details, the combined value of the order is more than Rs 400 crore. The project is linked to Egypt’s national grid and is expected to support the strengthening of power transmission infrastructure in the country.
The agreement highlights Bajel Projects’ presence in the transmission and power infrastructure segment beyond India. Large high-voltage line projects such as this are important for improving grid capacity, reliability and long-distance electricity movement.
For EETC, the contract fits into broader efforts to expand and reinforce electricity transmission networks. For Bajel Projects, the order marks a notable business development, reflecting demand for specialized engineering and execution capability in cross-border energy infrastructure projects.
