During the mention, a lawyer also referred to clips that allegedly showed police action against students taking part in protests. According to the details available, the bench was not persuaded that the matter required urgent intervention at that stage and pushed back against the attempt to raise it for immediate hearing.
The exchange drew attention because the court reportedly told counsel not to waste its time while presenting the material related to the alleged lathicharge. The case therefore combined two sensitive issues: demands for NEET reforms and allegations of excess force during demonstrations by students.
