The findings arrive as interest in antiaging treatments and longevity strategies continues to grow. Scientists involved in the research used a model to estimate how long the human body might function if several major drivers of aging were no longer in play.
The study points to a scenario in which extending lifespan is not simply about adding a few extra healthy years, but about understanding the deeper biological processes that limit survival. The work, conducted by researchers at the Skolkovo Institute of Science, adds to a wider debate over how far medicine can push human longevity.
