ZenaTech said it has completed its 26th acquisition, buying an Ohio-based land surveying company that is licensed in four states. The deal gives the company its first operating location in Ohio and extends its U.S. footprint into a 12th state as it continues to build out its Drone as a Service, or DaaS, business.
The acquisition is aimed at broadening ZenaTech’s reach in surveying and related field services, particularly for customers in construction, infrastructure, energy and public works. By adding a regional surveying operation, the company appears to be strengthening the local presence needed to support drone-enabled mapping, inspection and data collection work.
ZenaTech describes itself as a technology company focused on AI-powered autonomous drone platforms serving industrial, government and defense markets. The latest purchase fits into that strategy by combining traditional land surveying capabilities with drone-based services that can be used across a range of project types.
With this deal, the company continues an acquisition-driven expansion plan for its DaaS segment in the United States. The addition of an Ohio business licensed across multiple states could help ZenaTech pursue more regional opportunities where surveying expertise and drone operations overlap.
