RSRTC is set to add 144 new Blue Line buses to its fleet, with the incoming vehicles equipped with CCTV cameras, panic buttons, TVs and VLTD tracking systems. The move points to a wider push to modernize services while adding more safety and monitoring features for passengers.
According to the available details, the new buses will be deployed across 23 depots. The expansion is expected to strengthen operations on rural routes, where dependable bus connectivity remains important for daily travel and local access.
The induction also signals an effort to gradually remove older buses from service. By bringing in newer vehicles, RSRTC appears to be targeting both better passenger amenities and a more updated fleet profile across its network.
