AgiBot has begun the process for a Hong Kong initial public offering, aiming for a valuation of about HK$40 billion to HK$50 billion, or roughly $6.4 billion. The move puts the Shanghai-based humanoid robotics company on track for a major public market debut if the listing advances as planned.
The company has reportedly chosen Citic Securities, CICC, and Morgan Stanley to help lead the IPO effort. Those firms are expected to play key roles in preparing the offering and guiding the listing process in Hong Kong.
AgiBot is described as a three-year-old Chinese robotics startup focused on humanoid robots. Its push toward a multibillion-dollar valuation highlights the growing attention on robotics companies, especially firms developing humanlike machines for future commercial use.
The planned Hong Kong listing also underscores the city’s importance as a fundraising venue for mainland Chinese technology businesses. For AgiBot, the IPO process marks a significant step from startup status toward becoming a publicly traded robotics player.
