Another Canadian astronaut is getting ready for a trip to orbit, with Joshua Kutryck assigned to NASA’s SpaceX Crew 13 mission to the International Space Station. The mission will mark another major moment for Canada’s presence in human spaceflight.

Kutryck, who is from Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, is one of four crew members named to the flight. According to the details provided, the team is expected to spend about six months aboard the ISS.

The upcoming station mission comes only months after Artemis II’s planned lunar flyby, adding to a period of high visibility for Canadian astronauts and Canada’s role in international space efforts. While Artemis II focuses on a mission around the moon, Crew 13 is aimed at long-duration work in low Earth orbit.
