Plug and Play Japan is expanding its presence in Osaka by moving into Nakanoshima Qross, where it will begin operating a community focused on collaboration and innovation. The move places the global innovation platform within one of the city’s key life science hubs.

The initiative is linked with O-Nexus, described in the announcement as the Osaka Life Science Nexus by Nippon Life and CIC. Its focus is expected to bring startups, companies and other participants together around opportunities in the life science and biotechnology fields.

The announcement also references a memorandum of understanding involving Nakanoshima Qross and O-Nexus, as well as Plug and Play’s Rising Biotech Challenge 2025. These activities point to a broader effort to connect Osaka’s emerging biotech ecosystem with international innovation networks.

By establishing community operations at Nakanoshima Qross, Plug and Play Japan is adding a local base for its Osaka activities while contributing to the area’s growing life science community.
