The system for counting donations at the Ram temple has been changed after all 36 workers involved in the process were replaced. According to the report, the decision was taken by the State Bank of India and the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust.
The change comes after allegations of theft connected to the handling of temple donations. Instead of the previous team, SBI staff from other bank branches will now be assigned to count the cash collected at the temple.
The move suggests a stronger focus on oversight in the management of donation money. By bringing in bank personnel from outside branches, the authorities appear to be tightening controls around cash counting and record handling.
Replacing the entire donation-counting staff at once marks a major administrative step. It reflects an effort to address the allegations quickly and put a more closely supervised system in place for temple donation counting.
