India is preparing to launch NVS-03, a navigation satellite described as ready for deployment, as part of efforts to bring the Indian Regional Navigational Satellite System, known as NavIC, back into operation.
Science and technology minister Jitendra Singh shared the update in the Lok Sabha. He said the government’s plan also includes sending three additional satellites after NVS-03, indicating a broader effort to strengthen and restore the system.
NavIC is India’s regional satellite navigation network. The planned launches are intended to support the government’s work to make the country’s navigation service operational again, although the available update does not provide a launch date or further mission details.
